The master bottled ale – Timothy Taylor’s Landlord

Timothy Taylor's Landlord

Now there has to be an ale to rule them all. And for me it is ‘Timothy Taylor’s Landlord’. An earlier tasting with Brad had me unsure but now I have put it against my previous number 1 (Adnam’s Broadside) – I would have to say I have changed my mind.

This ale ticks all the boxes. It is very tasty indeed and has so much flavour. Once it’s gone you want another. It isn’t especially strong either at 4.1% – so you could drink plenty of this and not get a sore head. Incredible!

There is no chat about it on the label. Simply ‘Now try it on Tap’ – which I have and it is equally superb.

Timothy Taylor has been brewing in Keighley (Yorkshire) since 1858, and his business continues as a family company at the original Brewery. The ale is brewed using only the finest malt and leaf hops, combined with Knowles Spring water.

This stuff is the best. I don’t expect to find a better bottled ale. If you think otherwise, let me know !
