Fullers Golden Pride – Bottled

Posted by: Tony In: Bottles

Fuller's Golden Pride

Hot off the back of a disappointing Summer Lightning, I took comfort in the fact that I had lots more ale in the fridge.

Fullers Golden Pride was my next bottle of choice – and what an improvement! Very tasty – very aley (not a word I know – but I do make them up) – and just downright nice to drink.

There is a lot of chat on the bottle about the ale’s ‘immense character’ and it’s ‘full bodied maltiness’ but at the end of the day these are just words. What it all boils down to is ‘do you like it’.

And yes I do – but one thing worth noting is one bottle is 4.3 units of alcohol. And if you’ve read Brad’s earlier post on units of alcohol you’ll realise you can’t drink many of these away from your own home!

This ale comes in at 8.5%. The strongest bottle I have drunk so far. But it doesn’t taste too strong. In fact some of the 6% bottles I have had feel far stronger.

I would definitely recommend you try this one out. I know I will – I am going to go and get some more.
